Founded in 1955, the Barrett Brae subdivision is partly in Kirkwood, and partly in unincorporated St. Louis county. The word “Brae” is Scottish for “hillside” and the homes are nestled into the rolling hills to the north of Barrett Station and Big Bend roads.
